| Additional Info | As close as I can tell I have 99% of the original boat. When I say this is the world's fastest Campbell. In September 2007 I talked to Bob Muravis, the builder and owner of the Renegade, and I asked him what was the fastest speed that anybody skied behind the boat. He said in the early 70's after a ski racing event at lake Havasu they made a speed run over 3 miles across Havasu with Chuck Sterns on the ski. They had a radar gun at the end of the 3 miles and it registered when the boat went by with Chuck on the ski at 121 MPH. In November I talked to Chuck Sterns about that speed run. He confirmed what Bob said. They had me clocked with the radar gun at over 120 MPH for that 3 mile run. That's why the Renegade is the worlds fastest Campbell. If anybody is interested I have more stories about the Renegade. I have more pictures about the condition of the hull. This boat is offered at this time for $30,000.00 This was the last wood 20 footer that the Campbell boat company built. The rest are glass. |
