| Additional Info | MISSY was built for Dan Blocker, there exist some photos of him racing her in the ocean in the Ensenada race. She was originally an orange-red color. MISSY was in Lugene Switzerland when Blocker died, as he had moved his family there a year or so prior to his sudden death. MISSY was purchased from the family by Otis Chandler, a long time friend whose own boat similar in time and style had been destroyed in a fire. She was redone into a yellow color. Carolyn and Michael Hensley, of Lake Havasu and Phoenix, bought MISSY in 1974 from Otis two years after Blocker's death and returned her to Lake Havasu where she was refurbished, engine rebuilt and outfitted with a bimini top. She was redone in a green color. Joe Refsnes, of Phoenix, purchased MISSY from the Hensley's in 1984 and again she was refurbished and redone this time into a blue color. Longtime Campbell owner David Kahn purchased the boat in 2008 and had it redone, this time in red. That is the current condition it is in and was sold to Tom Addis in 2010. |
